  9. This is a patch release, which patches Fiasco release 2.0 (Version 5.416)
  10. to Fiasco release 2.01 (Version 5.459).
  11.  
  12. Fiasco 2.01 fixes some important bugs in Fiasco 2.0. For a list of the
  13. changes, see the Fiasco documentation.
  14.  
  15. The patch can be automatically applied to the installed Fiasco 2.0
  16. distribution using the included Installer script.
  17.  
  18. Fiasco 2.0 is also available on Aminet. The distribution is located
  19. in the directory biz/dbase in the archives described below:
  20.  
  21. Fiasco_main.lha         Contains the main program, libraries, locale
  22.                         catalogs and example databases.
  23. Fiasco_doc_eng.lha      Contains the english documentation in AmigaGuide
  24.                         and TeX-DVI format.
  25. Fiasco_doc_deu.lha      Contains the german documentation in AmigaGuide
  26.                         and TeX-DVI format.
  27. Fiasco_doc_ita.lha      Contains the italian documentation in AmigaGuide
  28.                         and TeX-DVI format (Not finished yet, will be
  29.                         uploaded to Aminet later).

  32. Features:

  35. -  Dynamic record loading. Fiasco reads the record data only when
  36.    required. Thus, the use of databases bigger than the available RAM is
  37.    possible.
  38.  
  39. -  Support of several indices for a database. This indices can be
  40.    automatically sorted or filtered.
  41.  
  42. -  Several projects may be in RAM at the same time. The number of these
  43.    projects is only limited by the available RAM.
  44.  
  45. -  Masks can be used like any other GUI.
  46.  
  47. -  Masks, lists and requesters are fully font sensitive.
  48.  
  49. -  Many fieldtypes: String, Integer, Float, Cycle, Boolean, Slider, Date,
  50.    Time, Extern, Datatypes and Var String.

  52. -  Support of listview fields for String, Integer, Float, Date and Time
  53.    field types.

  55. -  Datatypes fields can be used to display graphics etc. directly in the
  56.    mask.

  58. -  ARexx interface for external control and scripts for fields.

  60. -  Freely configurable "usermenu", which can be used to invoke CLI and
